The diesel tank of the truck was torn open in the process. The truck came to a stop approximately 300 meters down the emergency lane. The driver remained unharmed.
During the cleanup, the Autobahn was closed in the direction of Schweinfurt for five hours, with the Schmücke tunnel also affected in both directions. The water authority inspected possible contaminations.
