A 27-year-old man is suspected of threatening two women in Berkheim (District Biberach) with a Samurai sword. The two women were slightly injured during a commotion with the man, according to the police. The officers did not provide specific details about the nature of their injuries.

When the police surrounded the building following a report from a family member, the 27-year-old is said to have severely injured himself inside the house. During an attempt to escape through a window, the alleged perpetrator was arrested without resistance. Later, the man died from his injuries in the hospital.

He had reportedly had a relationship with one of the women in the past, the police stated. A spokesperson could not provide further information about the motive for the crime initially. There was no danger to the public.

The suspect hails from the region of Baden-Württemberg, specifically Biberach. The criminality incident occurred in Berkheim, which is part of the Biberach district. Despite the incident, the area remained safe, with no threat to public safety reported.
