Transport traffic - Lane closure due to construction site on A1 and A24

In the traffic of holiday travels, drivers must pay attention to obstructions on Thursdays on highways A1 and A24 around Hamburg. According to the Autobahn GmbH of the Federal Government, this is due to a construction site set up for the repair of traffic-caused road damages. This results in short-term road closures.

According to the information, on Thursday morning between 8:00 and 10:00 AM, only one lane will be available on the A24 towards Berlin between the interchanges Hamburg-Horn and Hamburg-Jenfeld.

On the A1, traffic can only move in the southern direction from 10:00 to 13:00 in the lane between the interchanges Oejendorf and Billstedt, and in the opposite direction from 13:00 to 14:00 using only two lanes.

Motorists were advised to adhere to the speed restrictions in the construction zones to ensure the safety of the workers.

Visitors planning a building tour in Hamburg might want to adjust their itinerary due to the increased traffic caused by the construction site on highways A1 and A24. The repair work on these roads is expected to affect both tourist and transport traffic in the area, potentially leading to delays during peak travel times.
