Shortly after the midpoint, the Landesgartenschau in Wangen im Allgäu managed to reach an important milestone. The organizers counted over half a million visitors on a Tuesday. They were delighted and proud to have reached this mark in less than three months, they shared. They had calculated for the entire show from late April to early October with around 600,000 visitors.

"We are significantly above our expectations with these numbers," explained Landesgartenschau business manager Karl-Eugen Ebertshäuser. The many positive feedbacks were confirmation for the organizers.

The Landesgartenschau covers a broad range of topics, from climate change to future-oriented building. With over 2,000 events, flower art and innovative gardens, the organizers promised "the longest summer festival in the Allgäu". Bridges, playgrounds and a new bike path have emerged on the more than 50 football field-sized site. Nearly 32,000 season tickets have been sold according to the announcement. The show runs until October 6.
