The SV Elversberg must let go of Jannik Rochelt. The 25-year-old is switching from the Saarland football second-league team to league rival Hannover 96, as both clubs announced. In Hannover, the offensive midfielder receives a contract until June 30, 2027. According to media reports, the Lower Saxons paid 1.5 million Euro as the transfer fee. With this, he would be the most expensive sale in Elversberg's club history. Rochelt played for two years at the SV Elversberg and promoted the team to the 2. Bundesliga in 2023. Last season, he contributed to the team, led by trainer Horst Steffen, remaining sovereign in the league. Rochelt played in 32 starts and had a total of 33 second-league appearances. He scored four goals and set up seven. Rochelt has already traveled to his new team's training camp in Saalfelden am Steinernen Meer, Austria. He is scheduled to make his first appearance for Hannover 96 in a test game on Saturday (14.00 Uhr) against Twente Enschede.
