Hospitals - IT-issues: Stuttgart Clinic partially paralyzed

Due to a problem in the IT infrastructure, the operation of Stuttgart Clinic can only run limitedly today. The regular OP program has therefore been cancelled, the clinic announced. Only emergency surgeries could take place, according to an SWR statement. The intensive care station should not have been restricted, it was further stated.

The cause of the problem is said to be a defective network component, the clinic's spokesperson stated. The solution is still being worked on. It is unclear how long this will take. The Stuttgart problem should not be related to the global computer incident last Friday, the spokesperson added.

The IT issue at Stuttgart Clinic involves a faulty network component within the hospital's infrastructure. Despite the limited operation, the intensive care station continues to function as usual. The hospital is situated in the region of Baden-Württemberg, specifically in Stuttgart.
