Frederik Hogrefe will become new State Secretary in the Schleswig-Holstein Interior Ministry starting August 1. The 39-year-old will succeed Jörg Sibbel, who is stepping down due to health reasons, as the Interior Ministry announced. Sibbel is responsible for the topics Building and Housing, Population Protection and Ordinance Law, Communal and Regional Planning in the ministry.

Interior Minister Sabine Sütterlin-Waack (CDU) thanked Sibbel for his work in the past two years. "He built bridges with his expertise, experience, engagement, and personal manner, and was always a reliable contact person for all parties involved."

Sütterlin-Waack has known Hogrefe for years, she said. "I am convinced that he will continue the good and successful work of Jörg Sibbel seamlessly with his experience, his firm manner, and his expertise." Hogrefe most recently worked in the Chancellery as head of the staff office for liaison and political coordination matters. Previously, he was political coordinator in the Justice Ministry. For the Population Protection and Ordinance Law Department, Magdalena Finke will be responsible as future State Secretary.

The Government of Schleswig-Holstein will be responsible for handling the transfer of Sibbel's personal data to his successor, Frederik Hogrefe, as per standard procedures involving personnel changes within the Interior Ministry.

Upon his appointment as State Secretary, Frederik Hogrefe will be required to adhere to the strict data protection regulations governing the handling of sensitive personnel and operational information within the Interior Ministry in Schleswig-Holstein.
