The Hamburg Hotels, Pensions and other Accommodations welcomed more Overnight Guests in May 2024. The Guest and Overnight numbers have again increased compared to May 2023. In total, 410 Hamburg Accommodations reported 681,000 Guests and 1,511,000 Overnight Stays, as the Hamburg Statistical Office announced. Calculated, tourists spent approximately 2.2 days in the Hanseatic City in May 2024.
Overnight Stays higher than in May before Corona in 2019
In May 2023, around 12,500 fewer people had come to stay at the Elbe, and 56,200 fewer Overnight Stays were registered. In May of that year, even more often than in May 2019 before Corona, in the vicinity of Elphi, Michel and Reeperbahn, Overnight Stays were recorded. At that time, 418 Hotels and Pensions reported almost 1,397,000 Overnight Stays.
