Brand - House on fire in Hellersdorf - four injured
At a house fire in Berlin-Hellersdorf, emergency responders rescued four people from the upper story in the night due to heavy smoke. They were lightly injured, according to Berlin Fire Department. Among them were also two children. However, after treatment by a paramedic, they refused transport to a hospital, it was reported.
In the ground floor of the five-story building, a stroller had caught fire. This led to the development of heavy smoke, which had reportedly entered the apartments. Many residents were seen at the windows and balconies calling for help.
Due to the numerous emergency calls, the Fire Department dispatched over 100 emergency responders. After the fire was extinguished and the staircase and apartments were ventilated with pressure blowers, the residents were able to return to their apartments.
The Berlin Fire Department confirmed that the cause of the ground floor fire in Hellersdorf was a stroller that had caught fire. To effectively manage the situation, the Fire Department deployed its Operational Resource, mobilizing over 100 emergency responders.
