Animals - Horse not hurt by stranger - but by metal

In the case of the injured pony in Blumberg (Schwarzwald-Baar-District), the suspicion of a premeditated act by an Unknown Person could not be confirmed. According to the police, the evaluation of a video showed that the animal was first struck by another horse and later injured itself on a metal object.

The owner discovered the animal last week with suspected cut wounds. The Police initially assumed that it was injured by an unknown person and initiated investigations. Now, the veterinary office is examining the living conditions, a police spokesperson said.

Press release

In the same district of Baden-Württemberg where Blumberg is located, levels of criminality against animals have been under scrutiny by local authorities. Despite the incident with the injured pony not being definitively linked to intentional harm, the police continue to stress the importance of reporting any suspected animal cruelty cases.
