Cottbus - Homemade explosive device found during gardening
At gardening work in Cottbus, a homemade explosive device was found in the shrubbery. A fuse was noticeable on the long object, causing workers to call the police at mid-week afternoon, as they reported.
The officers cordoned off the area at Brandenburger Platz afterwards. The explosive disposal team disarmed the homemade Sprengkorper. Preliminary findings indicated it was filled with a mixture that was poorly ignitable.
The workers immediately halted their garden work upon discovering the potentially dangerous device. The local authorities in Cottbus were alerted about the discovered 'Bomblet' in the Bush. After safely defusing the device, the police conducted a thorough investigation in the area around Brandenburger Platz.
