Heavy accident - Helicopter deployment on A24: 34-year-old severely injured
A 34-year-old man was severely injured in an accident on the rainy road of A24 in Putlitz (Landkreis Prignitz). According to a police spokesperson, the man had to brake traffic-wise on Tuesday evening. Due to the rain, the car skidded on the road, spun multiple times, and eventually overturned. It broke through a wild fence and came to a stop on a meadow.
A rescue helicopter took the heavily injured man to the hospital. The road was closed for approximately half an hour. According to the spokesperson, the damage caused is estimated to be around 10,000 Euros.
The accident occurred in the Prignitz District, specifically on the A24 road in Putlitz. The rainy conditions contributed to the man's car skidding, spinning, and eventually overturning. To manage the situation, an automatic traffic control system was activated to manage the traffic flow. Post-accident, a rescue helicopter was deployed from Brandenburg to transport the heavily injured man to the hospital for medical attention.
