Economic Question - Hamburger Companies sue over bureaucracy
Hamburg Companies are increasingly expressing concerns over economic political conditions. More than 60 percent of the companies stated in a survey at the end of the second quarter that these conditions pose a risk to their business. This is according to a statement from the Hamburg Chamber of Commerce. In the comparison period a year ago, the value was at 49.3 percent. A frequently cited reason was bureaucracy, as the Hamburg Chamber of Commerce reports.
"Bureaucratic burdens hinder companies in their actual work and are a real mood killer in a challenging economic situation", says the CEO of the Hamburg Chamber of Commerce, Malte Heyne. He demands that on a federal level, investments be made into a lean and digital administration.
The business climate, calculated from the mood of the companies and their expectations, improved slightly. It was at 94.5 points on a scale of 0 to 200. At the end of the previous quarter, the value was 1.6 points lower. Approximately 800 Hamburg companies were surveyed during the survey period between June 20th and July 8th.
The CEO of Hamburg Chamber of Commerce, Malte Heyne, highlights that bureaucratic burdens significantly impact companies, hampering their productivity and affecting their mood in difficult economic times. Despite the slight improvement in the business climate, Hamburg Companies continue to cite bureaucracy as a significant concern, impacting their operations significantly.
