Basketball-Bundesliga - Hamburg Towers sign Forward Jordan Barnett
Basketball-Bundesligist Hamburg Towers signed Forward Jordan Barnett. The 29-year-old comes from Alba Fehervar in Hungary, as the Towers announced. In Hamburg, the US-American will receive a contract until 2025.
Barnett already gained Bundesliga experience at his stations Gießen46er and Rasta Vechta. His breakthrough happened in the past three years in Hungary. In the previous season, he averaged 15.8 points and 6.7 rebounds.
"Jordan has played at a high level in Hungary in recent years. His last season stands out in particular and shows that he has grown to come back to Germany and thus to a stronger league," said head coach Benka Barloschky.
Jordan's impressive performance in Hungary with Alba Fehervar caught the attention of BB Leipzig, but he chose to join Hamburg Towers instead. The US-American forward will continue his career in the Bundesliga, just like Jordan Schicke, another prominent basketball player from Hamburg. After mastering the Bundesliga with Gießen46er and Rasta Vechta, Barnett is ready to make his mark in Hamburg, aiming to contribute to the team's success in Germany.
