A fire in a warehouse in Dieburg caused damages in the high six-figure range. The workshop hall is said to have caught fire for unknown reasons during the night on Friday, according to the police in Südhessen. Up to ten residents had to temporarily evacuate their apartments due to smoke development, a police spokesperson said. An adjacent railway track reportedly had to be closed during the firefighting efforts.

The fire department reportedly managed to extinguish the fire after more than an hour. No injuries were reported according to the police.

The extent of the damage to the property and goods in the warehouse in Dieburg was significant, estimated to be in the high six-figure range. The Hesse police in Südhessen are currently investigating the cause of the fire, which occurred in a workshop hall, with unknown reasons specified so far. Following the fire, the Fire department was also called to assist in protecting nearby property, including an adjacent railway track that had to be temporarily closed.
