Football-Bundesliga - Gnabry on speculations: 'A little crazy'

Soccer national player Serge Gnabry will not be bothered by the speculation about transfers. The 29-year-old is frequently named as one of the potential sale candidates of German record champion Bayern Munich. "I find it honestly a little crazy, how wildly they speculate not only about my name, but also about the names of my teammates," said the striker in an interview with the "Süddeutsche Zeitung". "Especially since we all still have valid contracts and are still playing at the highest level of football."

Due to numerous injuries in the previous season, Gnabry only made ten appearances in the Bundesliga. He also missed the home European Championship with the German national team due to a muscle bundle tear in May.

Gnabry feels no pressure

Gnabry made no clear statement about staying with FC Bayern in the interview. "But I didn't say I'm leaving either," he said. He emphasized: "I can only speak for myself: I want to get back in shape and perform as well as people are used to from me. I have a two-year contract, there's no pressure."

The fact that Bayern have recently signed the French Olympic participant Michael Olise as a winger and are supposedly still looking for more offensive players does not make Gnabry nervous, according to his own statements. "I've been here for six years. In that time, several other wingers have been signed, and even if I was healthy, I still played," he said. "I think I can speak for all of us who are being questioned right now: Our last few years weren't that bad."

Despite the rumors of potential transfers, German soccer player Serge Gnabry is staying focused on his game with FC Bayern Munich in the Bundesliga. The Munich-based club, known for its strong presence in Bavaria and the Football-Bundesliga, has recently added French Olympic participant Michael Olise to their roster, but Gnabry is unfazed. With a valid contract and a passion for the sport, Gnabry is determined to bounce back from injuries and perform at his best, just as he has done during his six-year tenure with the team.
