In NRW, there are global computer issues leading to disruptions at airports and in some communes. Affected airports include Düsseldorf, Cologne/Bonn, and Dortmund. A spokesperson for Düsseldorf Airport stated that Eurowings is experiencing IT issues causing disruptions in check-in and boarding processes.

Eurowings check-ins are currently being processed manually. A Eurowings spokesperson confirmed the issues and stated that passengers should expect delays and cancellations throughout the day. Online check-in is currently unavailable for Eurowings. Intensive efforts are being made to resolve the issue.

At Dortmund Airport, besides Eurowings flights, the systems of Ryanair and Wizz Air were also affected. A spokesperson for the airport stated that the flight operations are continuing despite the disruption, but there are delays. They have since switched to another check-in and boarding system. The internal systems of the airport were not affected by the technical issue.

Cologne Airport reported "significant disruptions to the check-in process of airlines." It is currently unclear how long the issue will last.

In NRW, the disruption is also affecting municipalities. "The customers of Südwestfalen-IT (SIT) are among those affected by the global problem," reported the company. Approximately 70 municipalities in NRW are SIT customers. The extent of the issue was initially unclear. "The duration of the disruption is currently uncertain." The SIT customers have already been informed of the current situation.

Global computer problems caused widespread disruptions on Friday. In Germany, airports in Berlin and Hamburg had to temporarily halt operations at the start of the holidays. Media reports indicate that the operations of banks and hospitals were also disrupted in other countries.

The global computer issues have extended beyond Germany's airports, affecting municipalities as well. The North Rhine-Westphalia commune of Südwestfalen is among the affected areas, with Südwestfalen-IT (SIT) customers experiencing the impact. This includes around 70 municipalities in North Rhine-Westphalia.

The spokesperson for Düsseldorf Airport mentioned that aside from Eurowings, there have been disturbances in Technology systems at Cologne/Bonn and Dortmund airports, causing delays and cancellations.

Germany's Eurowings is not the sole airline affected by the Computer panic. At Dortmund Airport, besides Eurowings flights, the systems of Ryanair and Wizz Air were also disrupted, resulting in flight delays.

The disruptions at Düsseldorf Airport have led to a temporary switch in the check-in and boarding system to avoid further complications. Online check-in for Eurowings has been halted due to these issues.

The IT problems have affected not just air traffic, but also other sectors in Germany and other countries. Media reports have mentioned disruptions in the operations of banks and hospitals in other parts of Europe.

The global Computer issues have caused significant disturbances in Air traffic throughout Germany, leading to a Computer panic. This has resulted in many airports, such as Berlin and Hamburg, temporarily halting operations.

Bonn, a city in North Rhine-Westphalia, has not been explicitly mentioned in the initial text, but it is worth noting that Bonn is another significant city in North Rhine-Westphalia, and it's also home to an international airport.
