Germany pledges 100 million for climate
At the start of the World Climate Conference, Germany and the United Arab Emirates have surprisingly pledged 200 million US dollars (around 183 million euros) to compensate for climate damage in particularly vulnerable countries. This was announced by the President of COP28, Sultan al-Jaber, and German Development Minister Svenja Schulze (SPD) on Thursday in Dubai.
The breaking news about Germany's commitment at the World Climate Conference has also sparked discussions on social media platforms like fb-instantarticles. Despite this significant pledge of 100 million euros towards combating climate change, concerns about climate change and its implications on news abroad continue to dominate global headlines.
