vacation start - Full beaches at the beginning of summer vacations

Vacation start and sunniest summer weather: At the beginning of the summer vacations in the northeast and other federal states, thousands of people were drawn to the coast. At beaches such as Rügen, there was a lot of activity. The water was also busy. With water temperatures between 18 and 19 degrees, many were drawn to the cool water.

In Warnemünde, the beaches were also well attended. The 26th International DLRG Cup is still taking place there. Approximately 190 lifeguards from five countries are participating in the three-day competitions on the Baltic Sea coast.

For 161,700 pupils and students in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, the summer vacations began on Friday. In Schleswig-Holstein, Hamburg, Berlin, and Brandenburg, it was also said this week: "Back to vacation." Consequently, all federal states except for Bavaria and Baden-Württemberg have started their summer vacations.

During their summer holidays, many families chose to spend their vacation time in the beautiful beaches of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, such as Binz. Leisure activities on the beach were in high demand, with tourists enjoying the sunny weather. The start of the vacation period also boosted the Tourism industry in Northeast Germany, drawing crowds to popular destinations like Rügen and Warnemünde. Despite the busy beaches and competitions like the 26th International DLRG Cup, the cool water temperature remained a popular attraction, offering relief from the summer heat.
