With a new head coach, but without his three EURO participants, SC Freiburg has traveled to training camp in Austria. For the 18th time in a row, the Badish Football Bundesligist is preparing for the new season in Schruns. This time, the team is being led by Julian Schuster, who has taken over from the long-term successful trainer Christian Streich. Schuster was already there as a player and liaison coach in the Montafon. This time, the former pro is taking the main role.

Defender Matthias Ginter, after undergoing an Achilles tendon operation, and offensive player Daniel-Kofi Kyereh, after suffering a cruciate ligament tear, are there but will continue to work individually. Japanese national team player Ritsu Doan, who missed the training start on July 7 due to an extended leave, is also part of the travel group.

EM participants and Olympic starters are missing

The Austrians Michael Gregoritsch and Philipp Lienhart, as well as the Hungarian Roland Sallai, who were all in action at the EURO, will be welcomed back to the SC later. Kiliann Sildillia is preparing with the French team for the Olympics in his hometown.
