Four females sustained stab wounds at a Massachusetts cinema, and authorities believe the incident is connected to a separate stabbing at a restaurant.

Two incidents occurred nearly an hour apart, in separate towns, making it seem like they're interconnected, claimed Braintree Police.

Four teenage girls were brutally stabbed in an AMC theater in Braintree, around 6:00 PM on a Saturday, as per press statement by Braintree Police.

"He didn't say anything and there was no warning beforehand. The guy suddenly attacked and stabbed the four young ladies. It seems unprovoked," mentioned police. "After the incident, the guy fled the place and departed in a vehicle."

The victims were shifted to Boston healthcare facilities for medical attention regarding their wounds. The condition of all the four girls is predicted to improve, policemen confirmed.

Evidence led authorities to conclude that the offender had vanished in what seemed like a black SUV. Footage allowed law enforcement to record the SUV's license plate number. The same vehicle was flagged up in a possible connection to a similar assault in Plymouth, mentioned the report.

Approximately sixty minutes later, authorities were notified of a report on stabbing at a McDonald's in Plymouth. Age twenty-one lady and a twenty-nine year old man suffered injuries. Authorities took both victims to nearby healthcare centers for treatment of their injuries.

The investigations hinted a likelihood of being tied to a prior event that occurred at a movie theater in Braintree, resulting in harm to four adolescents, stated Massachusetts State Police in their release.

Pursuing the vehicle, Massachusetts State Police encountered a crash in Sandwich, approximately twenty-five minutes south of Plymouth, as per the police report.

The suspect, whose identity is unknown, is presently undergoing treatment in a nearby hospital, communication from Massachusetts State Police informed. The investigations continue to be 'active and ongoing,' remarked the release.

The theater was momentarily on lockdown, as an AMC employee told CNN.
