Auction - Foals are auctioned off for equestrian sports in Celle
Forty foals will be auctioned off at the stud farm in Celle. They are young animals for Show-jumping, Dressage and Eventing riding, the organizers announced. Many of them are offspring of successful tournament horses. The foals with resonating names like Scotch, Temptation or Drummerboy B made some rounds on a parade ring in front of an audience in the afternoon. Interested visitors can place their bids both on site and by phone. These are foals that are not even a year old and are mainly bred by Lower Saxon breeders.
The stud farm in Celle was founded in 1735. Around 100 employees and employees work there currently on horse breeding. According to the farm's operators, there are currently around 80 stallions in use. It is the first foal auction at the stud farm.
