German Ice Hockey League - Florian Elias rushes for the Augsburg Panthers
Florian Elias will play for the Augsburg Panthers in the German Hockey League next season. The 21-year-old forward is returning to his Augsburg hometown from the Iserlohn Roosters. His younger brother Moritz (20) has been playing for the Panthers since last year.
For Iserlohn, Schwenningen and Mannheim, Florian Elias played 183 games in the DEL. 17 goals and 19 assists are in the statistics for the offensive talent. For Sport Director Larry Mitchell, Elias is a "technically very skilled" forward who always "plays with a lot of energy and intensity": "It means a lot to him to wear the colors of his hometown club in the future."
Florian Elias' departure from the Iserlohn Roosters leaves a gap in their ice hockey squad, particularly in the offensive line. Originally from Bavaria, the Iserlohn Roosters were not the only German team he hadtransfers to, as he also played for Augsburg Panther's rivals in the past. Despite this, his younger brother Moritz continues to represent Augsburg Panthers faithfully on the ice.
