Four young people in a car fled from the police in Neuss at night and caused an accident. They were later apprehended by the police according to a police statement, with the help of a police dog. The four had previously been stopped by the police in the city center, but ignored the stop signs and drove away.

They disregarded multiple red traffic lights, as stated. The police pursued them with two patrol cars. The flight ended at a dead end, where the car of the four collided with a traffic sign and a construction site barrier. The officers discovered stolen license plates on the vehicle and additional stolen number plates inside, as well as sedative substances.

The 19-year-old driver, who reportedly did not have a driver's license and was under the influence of drugs, and the other three passengers aged 18 to 24 now expect criminal proceedings. Two patrol cars were slightly damaged by the confusing traffic signs.

The incident of criminality involved the use of drugs within the vehicle. The fleeing car, with its altered license plates, was a clear indication of suspicious traffic activities. The accident in Neuss resulted in damage to additional number plates stored within the vehicle.
