At a collision of two cars at an intersection in the Landkreis Südliche Weinstraße, five people were injured. Among the five injured were also two children, aged six and eight, according to the police. They were taken to nearby hospitals.

A 35-year-old female driver had not seen the car of an 82-year-old man while crossing an intersection on a Monday. The driver had reportedly stopped at a stop sign at the intersection of two rural roads in Freimersheim. However, she apparently overlooked the other car despite this. The police estimate the damage to be around 50,000 Euro.
