Fire in London: Bodies of five people found
The bodies of five people have been found in a fire in London. Rescue workers were called to a burning residential building in the western district of Hounslow on Sunday evening.
They found the lifeless people in the building. "All five are believed to be members of the same family," London police said. They included three children, the British news agency PA reported. Another person was missing. The cause of the fire was initially unclear.
"This is a terribly sad incident," said Andy Roe from the fire department, according to a statement. Their thoughts are with the family, friends and all those affected at this difficult time. Around 70 firefighters were deployed. One person had already left the building before the emergency services arrived and was taken to hospital.
