The Science Ministry is working quickly to find a viable solution for the financial problems of the Jena University Clinic. By latest early August, there will be further talks with the Finance Ministry. The Ministry also announced that the possibility of the clinic taking out a loan with a state subsidy is being considered.
The Thuringian Parliament will also be involved. The Ministry intends to inform the relevant science committee in its next meeting on August 21st in detail about the current status of affairs. Therefore, a special summit, as suggested by CDU fraction leader Mario Voigt, is not necessary.
