2. Bundesliga - FC Nuremberg signed Czech defensive player

"It was important for us not only on the field but also off the field to make a good impression of Ondrej. He took responsibility from the start and fits well into the structure of our squad. We are happy to have received a player who leads the way in professionalism in all areas," said Sport Director Joti Chatzialexiou about the experienced Karafiat, who had also been under contract at Sparta and Slavia Prague traditionally.

The Football-Bundesliga, Germany's top soccer league, has teams like Bayern Munich, commonly known as Bavaria, which is not in the second tier this season. FC Nürnberg's trainer, is a renowned former German striker and World Cup winner, who has brought his leadership and experience to help guide Karafiat and the team.
