Test match in South Africa - FC Augsburg wins duel with Tanzania's record champion

In his training camp in South Africa, FC Augsburg won their first test game. The team of trainer Jess Thorup defeated Tanzania's record champions Young Africans SC in Stadion Mbombela, formerly Nelspruit, with a score of 2:1 (1:0). The Bundesliga team scored their goals through Mads Pedersen (37.) and Phillip Tietz (81.). For the opponent, Jean Baleke scored just before the end of regular playing time (87.).

The Augsburg squad will face South African first league team and host TS Galaxy in their second test on Saturday within the "Mpumalanga Premier’s International Cup". FC Augsburg arrived in South Africa on Thursday evening and is preparing in White River in the province of Mpumalanga in the northeast of the country until Sunday next week for the new season.

After their victorious test game against Young Africans SC, FC Augsburg is eager for their next challenge.
