Football Bundesliga - FC Augsburg gives long-term contract to defender prospect

The FC Augsburg has signed the next talent, defender Felix Meiser (17), after announcing the contracts for defender Noahkai Banks (17) and midfielder Mahmut Kücüksahin (20). The club did not disclose the length of Meiser's contract.

Meiser played 22 games for the U17 and two games for the U19 team of Augsburg last season. He also made appearances for the German U16 national team.

"With his athletic and defensive strengths, Felix Meiser was able to make his first appearances for the U19 team at the age of 17 in the second half of the previous season. As a young U19 player, he will now be guided towards professional football at the U23 and the first team with targeted individual support in talent management," explained Sport Director Marinko Jurendic.

The Bundesliga, Germany's top-tier football league, features FC Augsburg, where the young talent Felix Meiser has recently signed. Meiser had impressive performances last season with Augsburg's U17 and U19 teams, as well as the German U16 national team. Despite not revealing the length of Meiser's contract, Fortuna Committeesburg's soccer rival, Bavaria, will surely keep an eye on the new defender's progress in the Football-Bundesliga.
