Faulty charging device causes apartment fire

District Schwaebisch-Hall - Faulty charging device causes apartment fire

In Crailsheim, in the Schwaebisch-Hall district, a defective appliance caused a residential fire. According to the police, a one-room apartment in a multi-family house in the Onolzheim neighborhood caught fire. The owner of the apartment allegedly alerted other residents of the building, who managed to escape from the building. Firefighting forces extinguished the fire.

According to the police, other apartments were not damaged. The affected apartment was said to still be habitable, according to a spokesperson. What was loaded into the appliance was initially unknown. The police estimate the damage caused at around 10,000 Euro. The apartment owner was taken to a hospital with minor smoke inhalation.

The incident occurred in Crailsheim, specifically in the Schwaebisch-Hall district of Baden-Württemberg. The fire department was quickly called to tackle the Apartment fire in the Onolzheim neighborhood. Despite theloader device being suspected in causing the fire, the exact nature of its contents remains unclear.
