traffic - Fast one million for bike parking house in Hoppegarten
At S-Bahn station Hoppegarten, a new facility for parking bicycles is set to be constructed. The land has now approved funding in the amount of approximately 888,000 Euros for this project, announced a spokesperson for the Brandenburg Transport Ministry.
This project is part of a larger pilot scheme. The plan is to build bicycle parking houses at major transport hubs throughout the region, enabling commuters to easily transfer from bicycle to train and bus. A total of up to 14 million Euros is available for planning and construction of nearly 3000 bicycle parking spaces at 14 railway stations by 2026.
The S-Bahn station in Brandenburg's Hoppegarten area will greatly benefit from the new traffic, as the construction of the bicycle parking facility is expected to attract more cyclists. To manage this increased traffic efficiently, the local authorities are considering implementing additional measures to improve the flow of vehicles near Hoppegarten.
