Agriculture - Farmers' Association informs about harvest

What are the harvests this year going to be for Agriculture in northern Rhineland-Palatinate? The Farmers and Winegrowers Association Rhineland-Nahe will inform about this on Thursday (11.00 am) in Miehlen. It will also go about the status of the harvest and developments on the markets, it was stated.

The Farmers and Winegrowers Association Rhineland-Palatinate South drew a mixed verdict of the past harvest year in the previous week. Too much rain and insufficient sun prevented better results. Notably, there is a clear North-South divide depending on precipitation amounts and soil properties. Farmers in Rhinhessen are satisfied with their Winter and Summer rye, and the outlook for winter wheat is optimistic. However, their colleagues in the South and Southwest Palatinate reported disappointing results for barley and the first wheat parties.

The harvest predictions for agriculture in the northern region of Rhineland-Palatinate will be discussed by the Farmers and Winegrowers Association Rhineland-Nahe. Excessive rain and insufficient sunlight negatively impacted the previous harvest year in the Rhineland-Palatinate South, leading to mixed outcomes. Despite the challenges, farmers in Rhinhessen are pleased with their Winter and Summer rye harvests, while their counterparts in the southern and southwestern parts of Palatinate report disappointing barley and early wheat yield.
