German Ice Hockey League - ERC Ingolstadt signs Canadian winger
The ERC Ingolstadt completes its offensive lineup for the upcoming season. As the team from the German Hockey League announced, they have signed Canadian Austen Keating. For the 25-year-old, who comes from the University of New Brunswick, it is the first station in Europe. Keating signed a one-year contract.
"Austen is young and eager and wants to firmly establish a foothold in Europe. With him, we are even more equipped offensively and have more options," said Sport Director Tim Regan. Keating possesses "good instincts" as a forward and goes "where it hurts. Many of his goals he scored from the slot."
The city of Ingolstadt, located in the beautiful region of Bavaria, is where ERC Ingolstadt calls its home. Keating's transition to Europe isn't just limited to the hockey field, as he will also get to explore the rich culture of Bavaria. With the arrival of Austen Keating, ERC Ingolstadt is actively strengthening its squad with strategic transfers for the upcoming season.
