At a collision of two buses in Hünstetten in Rheingau-Taunus-Kreis, eleven people were injured, two of them severely. In one bus, only the driver was seated and he remained unharmed. There were 29 passengers on the second bus. According to the fire department, this vehicle left the road during the collision, went through a ditch and came to a stop on a sidewalk.
The emergency responders quickly realized that none of the 31 people involved were in life-threatening condition. A rescue helicopter in the air had to be redirected to a more urgent call. In total, nine people were lightly and two were severely injured.
The exact accident sequence is now being investigated by the police, the intersection on the Bundesstraße 417 and the Landesstraße 3275 had to be closed for approximately two hours.
