Fire department operation - Electronic scrap burns on Recycling yard - Fire extinguished

At a recycling yard in the south of Neumünster, a fire broke out. An Electronic scrap pile in the yard's outdoor area caught fire, a police spokesperson said. The fire department put out the fire in the early morning. There were no injuries.

Residents were advised precautionarily to close their windows and doors due to smoke contamination. The cause of the fire is currently unknown and is being investigated.

Early in the morning, several reports had come in to the police in Neumünster about a smell of burned plastic or gas. This was all attributed to the fire. Around the fire scene, several streets were closed for firefighting work.

The fire that originated from an Electronic scrap pile at the recycling plant in Schleswig-Holstein's Neumünster was reported to the local police. Due to the smoke emitted from the blaze, the police urged residents of New Munster to shut their windows and doors. After the intervention of the fire department, the fire in the outdoor area was successfully extinguished.
