After action - Eight people were arrested at the airport after a glue attack

At a climate protest at Frankfurt Airport, the Federal Police arrested eight people. While one person was hanging on the fence, seven people managed to enter the security area early in the morning and attach themselves to the heads of both central runways, according to a spokesperson.

All four runways of the largest German Airport were back in operation before 8:00 AM. Two of the activists had already been released and handed over to the Hessian State Police for further investigation, according to the Federal Police.

The protest at Frankfurt am Main's Frankfurt Airport caused temporary disruptions in air traffic. The climate demonstrators chose Frankfurt Airport, known for its high volume of air traffic, for their actions. The police intervention resulted in the arrest of several individuals, adding to the ongoing discussions about climate activism and its impact on public places. The Federal Police in Germany continued to monitor the situation to ensure the safety and adhesion to the rules at Frankfurt Airport. The remaining protestors, who had still not been arrested, were peacefully persuaded by the police to disperse near the airport premises.
