Backnang - Driver seriously injured in collision

A truck collided with a car on a federal road in Backnang (Rems-Murr-District), causing a traffic jam during which the car's driver sustained serious injuries. The 66-year-old driver was rescued by the fire department. His 79-year-old passenger was lightly injured, according to a police spokesperson.

The force of the collision pushed the car into another one. In the electric car, a 65-year-old passenger and a 35-year-old passenger were lightly injured. The drivers of both vehicles, who are believed to have caused the accident, remained unharmed.

There was no fire risk at the electric car as of the latest information. All three vehicles were towed away. The affected federal road 14 was blocked half-side at noon.
