railway problems - Delays on Hamburg-Kiel railway

Travelers between Kiel and Hamburg need to adjust to delays until evening hours. The reason is a power line damage between Dauenhof and Elmshorn, as a spokesperson stated. The track had to be completely closed around 15.30 hours for approximately 50 minutes. Previously, the "Kieler Nachrichten" reported this.

Since 16.20 hours, a track has been drivable again, the spokesperson said. However, there are expected to be disruptions until late evening hours. Trains of Line RE70 between Kiel and Hamburg are running, but with delays. Trains of Line RE7, however, are only running between and to Neumünster.

Travelers planning their journey during the evening hour should be aware of potential disruptions due to the damage to the overhead power line. This incident occurred between Dauenhof and Elmshorn in Schleswig-Holstein, leading to the temporary closure of the Railway line. The delay in traffic on the railway between Kiel and Hamburg is a direct consequence of this overhead damage.
