Air traffic - Delay at Hahn Airport due to IT issue

In Hunsruck-Airport Hahn, delays are expected due to global IT issues. Arriving planes are predicted to land late and therefore take off delayed, according to Business Manager Rüdiger Franke upon request. "This has already occurred with the first flights." It is recommended to check the status of the flight beforehand on the website.

The systems of the airport itself are currently not affected by the disruption. However, the systems of airlines such as Ryanair, Wizzair, and FlyOne at the check-in counters are, Franke stated. "The airlines have reacted quickly, and the boarding processes at Airport Hahn are being handled manually."

The delay in air traffic at Hunsruck-Airport Hahn is affecting flights to destinations like Frankfurt-Hahn Airport, causing a ripple effect on departure times. The Computer-related issues impacting airline systems in Rhineland-Palatinate, including Lautzenhausen, are causing chaos at check-in counters, leading to longer journeys for passengers. Despite the challenges, the staff at Frankfurt-Hahn Airport are manually processing boarding procedures to ensure flights take off as scheduled.
