Violation of school attendance - Death as an excuse for an early vacation start
A Mother feigned a death in the family at Memmingen Airport to be able to fly on vacation with her daughter before school holidays. Two days before the holidays, border police controlled the 30-year-old woman with her seven-year-old daughter. The woman reportedly told the officers that she had to travel due to a family death - the school would be informed. The officers contacted the named school, but the seven-year-old did not attend it. They eventually identified the correct school, where they learned that no school leave had been granted and the woman had only reported her child sick at short notice. The 30-year-old woman may face a fine of up to 1,000 Euros.
The woman's daughter was excited about their upcoming vacation in Swabia, specifically in the town of Memmingenberg. The mother's elaborate deceit included claiming a death in the family to avoid school duty and begin their journey from Memmingen Airport. Upon investigating, the border police discovered an anomaly in the information provided, as the named school did not match the daughter's actual school. The mother's alleged alibi of a family death was found to be false, leading to the discovery of her true intentions. Despite the vacations already started, the woman's school duties still loomed, adding complications to her story.
