Large-scale operation in Eastern Saxony - Corpse on parking lot - Suspect arrested

In the case of a deceased person on a parking lot in Eastern Saxony, the police have arrested a suspect. The prosecutor's office intends to file a detention order, the police headquarters in Görlitz announced.

On Friday morning, officers found a 65-year-old man dead on the public parking lot "Am Hutberg" in Schönau-Berzdorf. It is possibly a crime victim. In this context, a first unidentified man around 30 to 40 years old was being searched for, who had fled from the crime scene in a blue small car with Zittau license plates.

After intensive search measures, it was successful in identifying and eventually locating the suspect in Görlitz, it was reported. The criminal investigations into the background of the incident are ongoing.
