soccer - Consoling BVB victory at the end of the Asia trip

Borussia Dortmund made amends at the end of their Asian tour. Three days after the clear and embarrassing defeat against Thai club Pathum United (0:4), the Bundesliga team managed a 3:2 (3:0) win in a test against Cerezo Osaka. In front of 21,000 spectators at Nagai Stadium, Karim Adeyemi (25th/30th minute) and Jamie Bynoe-Gittens (29th) scored the victory over the team featuring former BVB star Shinji Kagawa. Masaya Shibayama (66th) and Reiya Sakata (73rd) scored for Cerezo Osaka, making it an exciting finish.

Three early goals within five minutes saved Dortmund from another damaging performance on their PR tour through Thailand and Japan. The Dortmund team benefited from Adeyemi's speed and Bynoe-Gittens' impressive shooting technique. After the break, the team, which was filled with players from the U19 and U23, focused more and created further chances. However, the numerous substitutions disrupted the team's rhythm, and they eventually faltered. Immediately after the game, the Champions League finalist began their journey home.

The fine-tuning is scheduled to take place from August 1st to 9th in Bad Ragaz, with an additional test against Villareal on August 6th. The new coach Sahin can also plan with his currently still on vacation European Championship participants during this time. The official season opener finds a general rehearsal against Aston Villa on August 10th. The first mandatory game is the first round of the DFB-Pokal against Phönix Lübeck on August 17th.
