Christopher Street Day - Cologne CSD Weekend starts with a street festival

In Cologne, the Christopher Street Day (CSD) festival begins on Friday. For three days, there will be a colorful program with music and political talks on several stages in the Old Town. Hundreds of thousands of visitors are expected. The highlight is the CSD Parade on Sunday (21. July). Around 250 groups with approximately 60,000 participants are expected to march through the city center.

Cologne's CSD is considered one of the largest events for the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transsexual, intersexual, and queer (LGBTQ) community in Europe. The motto is: "For human rights. Many. Together. Strong".

During the weekend of the Christopher Street Day festival in Cologne, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany, various demonstrations and speeches advocating for human rights take place. The city's bustling Old Town transforms into a vibrant street festival, attracting society's diverse groups to participate in the Christopher Street Day celebrations. Visitors from around Europe flock to witness the annual demonstration, which culminates in the grand CSD Parade on Sunday.
