No driver's license - Car crashes into house - Driver severely injured

A 21-year-old man crashed his car into a house wall in Oberhausen (District Southwest Palatinate). The young man passed a parked bus in the evening noticeably too quickly, as the police reported. While attempting to correct his course, he came off the road and crashed through the sidewalk into the house. He was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

The officers found out that the man did not have a driver's license, that the car was neither registered nor insured, and that the license plates belonged to another vehicle.

The car the man was driving was not equipped with automatic transmission. The incident occurred on Wine Street, known for its narrow lanes and heavy traffic. Authority in Rhineland-Palatinate is looking into whether the lack of a driver's license and proper vehicle registration contributed to the police-reported accident. After being treated in the hospital, the man could face further legal proceedings in Oberhausen.
