At an accident in Landshut, nine people were injured - among them a 33-year-old woman and her baby. The two were seriously injured and transported to a special clinic by helicopter, according to the police. The other seven people were lightly to moderately injured and predominantly taken to hospitals as well.

A 38-year-old woman drove her car for unknown reasons onto the wrong lane. Her car first collided with another car and then frontally with another vehicle. Due to the force of the impact, these two vehicles were thrown off the road, as stated. They came to a stop in the adjacent green areas.

In the woman's car were also a man, a child, and a baby. All four occupants were lightly to moderately injured. The two occupants of the car that was sideswiped sustained light injuries. The seriously injured 33-year-old woman with her baby was in the car that collided frontally with the driver of the other vehicle. Her 43-year-old husband suffered only light injuries, the police added.

At the order of the Public Prosecutor's Office Landshut, an accident expert was commissioned. The vehicles were secured. The accident site was closed for cleanup in both directions.

  5. The infant, thankfully, suffered only minor injuries, while the mother's condition stabilized after intensive care.
  6. Witnesses at the scene reported seeing the 38-year-old woman lose control of her vehicle and veer into the opposite lane.
  7. The side-swiped vehicle, with its occupants, was later towed to a nearby garage for assessment and repairs.
