Brand at Ostkreuz - Cable fire in Regionalbahn - No injuries
A cable has caught fire in a regional train at Berlin's Ostkreuz station. Forty-six firefighting forces of the Fire Department extinguished the fire, according to a spokesperson. There were reportedly no injuries. The railway confirmed that smoke had developed.
Platform 13/14 at Ostkreuz has been cleared, and the traffic of the regional line has been halted, the Fire Department spokesperson stated. However, the railway spokesperson could not initially specify which line it was.
The fire in the regional train at Berlin's Ostkreuz station was deemed to be an operative issue for the Fire Department.
