District Altoetting - Bystander saves woman from burning house - three injured

A neighbor and a passerby rescued a woman from a burning single-family house in Burghausen (Landkreis Altötting). The first responders and the woman were partly injured and taken to the hospital, according to the police. The cause of the fire was initially unknown. There are no indications of arson, the police said.

When the rescue services arrived at the house, the woman was already being cared for in the garden. "As it turned out, the elderly resident of the house owes her life to the brave first responders," the police added.

According to the police, the fire caused damage in the high five-figure range. The investigation is ongoing.

The rescue took place in the district of Altötting, specifically in the town of Burghausen, which lies in the region of Upper Bavaria, Germany. The neighbor and passerby acted swiftly to save the woman from the burning single-family house. Ms. helped in providing initial aid until the professional helpers arrived.
