Rottal-Inn District - Brand in agricultural operation
At a fire in an agricultural business in the lower Bavarian town of Gangkofen (District Rottal-Inn), damages exceeding 300,000 Euro have occurred. No people or animals were injured, the police reported.
Early in the morning, according to the police, a silo had caught fire, later another agricultural building was on fire. The fire was put out by the fire department approximately two hours after the outbreak. The cause of the fire, according to the police, was a technical defect.
In the same Rottal-Inn District of Bavaria where the significant fire incident occurred in Gangkofen, another agricultural building in a nearby area experienced a fire incident earlier that morning. The local police, involved in both incidents, attributed the fires to technical defects.
