Federal Military - Boris Pistorius at ABC-Defense Command in Bruchsal

Federal Defense Minister Boris Pistorius (SPD) will visit the ABC-Defense Command of the Bundeswehr in Bruchsal (Kreis Karlsruhe) on Monday to obtain information about the capabilities of the German armed forces. He is expected to be briefed by soldiers and soldiers there on practical matters. ABC stands for Atomic, Biological and Chemical Warfare. The command is responsible for protecting against threats from such weapons.

Soldiers and soldiers are trained for this in Bruchsal and are ready for deployments; this includes within the framework of NATO obligations. They also help in civil emergencies, such as containing the African Swine Fever.

Before that, Pistorius had visited Rheinland-Pfalz's Buchel and Nordrhein-Westfalen's Uedem, where he obtained information about the work of the Air Force.

  1. Boris Pistorius, the SPD's Defense Minister in Germany, will expand his summer tour by visiting the Baden-Württemberg region, specifically the ABC-Defense Command in Bruchsal.
  2. During his visit, Pistorius is expected to engage with the Federal Armed Forces of Germany, gaining insights into their defenses against Atomic, Biological, and Chemical threats.
  3. Prior to his visit to Bruchsal, Pistorius had been briefed on the Air Force's operations in Rheinland-Pfalz at Buchel and Nordrhein-Westfalen at Uedem.
  4. After concluding his engagements in Bruchsal, Pistorius might consider scheduling a meeting with local officials in Karlsruhe to discuss potential collaborations or support for the Defense Forces.
  5. Working alongside the military forces, Boris Pistorius and the SPD aim to uphold Germany's security and be prepared for various missions, both within and beyond its borders as part of NATO's commitments.
